Maura Demi Portegies Zwart is a 21-year-old Dutch actress, vocalist, and filmmaker based in Amsterdam. Maura studied film theory at the University of Amsterdam and is starting film school at HKU in September 2026. Maura started making films in 2023 and found that this is where her passion lies. She has made 4 short films so far and has acted in various independent short films. Maura's main career goal is to touch people with the stories she tells and the characters she embodies. She is interested in showcasing moral dilemma's, subjective psychological distress, and interpersonal relations.

Apart from films, she also makes music using Ableton Live and her own voice under artist names Maura Demi and Aeipathy.
